Back to GrammarDr. Daniel Coupland, Ph.D., Hillsdale College In the latter half of the 20th Century, explicit instruction in English grammar was systematically squeezed out of the K-12 curriculum. In the last few years, it has begun to find its way back into classrooms. This presentation will address the historical role that grammar has played in education, and it will describe why it should once again be an important part of K-12 schooling. |
