The NC Alliance for Charter Schools supports the passage of HB 250 in House Education Committee!

Raleigh – Alliance Director and Legislative Liaison Debbie Clary announced that Rep. Jon Hardister has sponsored an NC Alliance supported initiative to bring equity to the manner in which Charter Schools are allowed to treat employees who work at the school and siblings in the enrollment process.

“Perhaps inadvertently, there has existed an inequity in how the statute was treating different classes of people who worked at charter schools,” said Clary, “and we are grateful to Rep. Hardister  for his efforts to clear this matter up in a manner that will allow charter boards to treat all charter workers fairly.”

Clary said that we all should thank Rep. Hardister and the other sponsors for their hard work on Charter School legislation.
